On 9 March 2026, Dr. Krisztina Lakos, ambassador of Hungary also participated on the working breakfast organized for female ambassadors by Annita Demetriou, Speaker of the Cypriot House of Representatives, on the occasion of Women's Day.

The Informal Meeting of Ministers of Health was held in Nicosia on 26 February 2026 under the Cyprus Presidency. Ministers exchanged views on current health challenges, strengthening the common European approach and reinforcing a more resilient, cohesive and strategically autonomous European health architecture. Hungary was represented by Deputy State Secretary Judit Bidló.
The Informal Foreign Affairs Council (Trade) meeting was held in Nicosia on 20 February 2026 under the Cyprus Presidency. Ministers discussed ongoing trade dossiers, EU–China trade relations and preparations for the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference. Hungary was represented by State Secretary Boglárka Illés.
At the informal EPSCO meeting, ministers discussed fair and inclusive employment and social policy challenges. Hungary was represented by Ambassador Dr. Krisztina Lakos.
The Informal Meeting of Environment and Climate Ministers (ENVI) took place in Nicosia on 5–6 February 2026, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Hungary was represented by Dr. Anikó Raisz, State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy.

On 2–3 February 2026, the informal Competitiveness (COMPET) Ministers’ Meeting was held in Nicosia, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Hungary was represented by Richárd Szabados, State Secretary at the Ministry for National Economy.
Following the informal COMPET Council meeting of the Cyprus EU Presidency, State Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy, Richárd Szabados visited the Embassy of Hungary in Nicosia and held talks with Ambassador Dr. Krisztina Lakos.
The informal meeting of EU Education Ministers took place in Nicosia on 29–30 January 2026, focusing on dialogue and cooperation to strengthen the teaching profession.
