On 2–3 February 2026, the informal Competitiveness (COMPET) Ministers’ Meeting took place in Nicosia, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The aim of the meeting was to discuss issues related to the competitiveness of Europe’s industry and the removal of barriers to the single market. Hungary was represented at the meeting by Richárd Szabados, State Secretary at the Ministry for National Economy.
