At the “Culinary Bridges” event in Nicosia, the harmonious encounter of Hungarian wines from the Dúzsi Winery and traditional Cypriot cuisine was showcased, strengthening the gastronomic and cultural ties between the two countries.
Our Embassy held its National Day Reception on October 21, 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia. The guest of honor at the reception was Giorgos Papanastasiou, Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry of Cyprus.

On 11 October 2025 the "Spouda-Zo" (ΣΠΟΥΔΑ-ΖΩ) education fair was held at the Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia, where Hungary was also represented, with the participation of our embassy, Semmelweis University and the University of Pécs.
On 9 October 2025 Ambassador Dr. Krisztina Lakos and Military and Defense Attaché Márton Szekeres participated in the inauguration of the new Commander of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Theodorou. On the occasion of the event, a gift was presented to the outgoing commander Georgios Tsitsikostas.
On 5 October 5 2025, a Cypriot-Hungarian street food festival took place in Pervolia, where visitors could taste Cypriot and Hungarian food and, of course, Hungarian wines.
The EUNIC Cyprus Cluster appointed a new President and Consul of the Embassy of Hungary, László Szoldatits, as the new Vice President, strengthening European cultural cooperation in Cyprus.
