On November 27, 2024, on behalf of the Embassy of Hungary in Nicosia, Dr. Krisztina Lakos, Ambassador of Hungary donated a unique Gömböc to the University of Cyprus, which was received by Professor Tasos Christofides, rector of the university. The event was attended by the co-inventor of the Gömböc, Professor Gábor Domokos, who also gave a lecture to the gathered audience after the handover.
