News & Highlights
We invite our dear visitors to take a virtual tour of the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest, whose palace is a masterpiece of Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture. Founded in 1872, it was the third museum of applied arts established in the world, following those in London and Vienna. The museum houses a collection of approximately 100,000 artifacts, providing an overview of the history of both universal and Hungarian applied arts across all genres, from the Middle Ages to the present day. During our virtual tour, we can view a total of 548 artifacts, as well as Dóra Zsigmond's contemporary designer exhibition titled “ZSIGMOND, or Fashion as a Tool for Self-Knowledge".
